In 2011 she was awarded the Designers & Artists for Genomics Award for the project Aqua Vita, a collaboration with Mike Thompson and the Netherlands Metabolomics Centre. Susana is based in Amsterdam, where she works on self-initiated projects as well as industry / science collaborations. She is currently a Research Associate on the Creative Industry Scientific Programme (CRISP) at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
